10 Habits of Healthy People

Although health is often associated with a person’s physical state; it truly encompasses so much more.  Health is a combination of mind, body and soul. Yes, we all have  hits and misses, and ups and downs when it comes to our daily health.  So we probably should have a cheat day as opposed to a cheat week, or better yet, a cheat meal.  And we probably didn’t need that extra shot at the bar last night, followed by a pizza run. And we definitely didn’t need to stay up until 3am binge watching shows on Netflix; but we’re human and it happens.  So if you fell off the wagon, or need a little boost to get you into the healthy mindset, here is a list of habits that healthy people exude daily.

1. Everything in moderation: EVERYTHING!

2.  Have FUN with exercise: Clearly that’s already a given at LAX!

3. Eliminate Chaos:  Keeping your mind/life organized will make all the difference.

4. Eat for Fuel: Yes, cheat meals are okay, but let’s keep them to a minimum.

5. Goals: Set them and go after them!

6. Get water wasted: Water is your body and skin’s best friend. It really makes all the difference. Drink a lot, and when you think you have, drink more!

7. Sleep: We’re not in our teens anymore. 8 hours minimum, or it will definitely catch up to you.

8. Go dark early: Turn off the TV, the phone and get that melatonin going about an hour before you nod off.

9. Get Centered: Take some time for yourself and get back to what’s important. Go to church, meditate, head to the beach, whatever you do, get up and go do it.

10. Live in the here and now: We only get one life, so let’s fully enjoy it.  Get up, get out, put the phone down, be present and make the most of it.
