Athlete Spotlight: Walter

We’ve got another spotlight for your reading pleasure. Walter is pretty easy to sum up – nicest guy ever, crushes every workout. It’s rare to see anyone beat his times. The guy seems to have 0 weaknesses and an engine that knows no limits.

Walter makes everything look smooth.

If you could be a superhero, who would it be?

Rocket from Guardians of Galaxy. He’s brown, short, talks a lot of smack, dependable and gets stuff done.

Do you have any cool scars?

Pick one and explain it. ALL my scars are cool, I can’t explain it haha.

Do you have any pets?

Is a younger brother a pet? Haha jk Mikey. I don’t have a pet but my first one will be a french bulldog.

What is the ONE piece of CrossFit/Gym equipment you cannot live without?

The barbell. It makes the world a better place!

What’s your favorite book?

The story of Ferdinand. I can relate because I’d rather hug it out than argue or fight. But mama didn’t raise no fool either :).

If you could instantly become fluent in another language, which language would you choose?

Is the language of love a real thing? Haha Portuguese, It’s similar to Spanish.

What was the first car you owned?

A 2 seater electric car from toys r us.

Eat every day no matter what for life: avocado or eggs?

Eggs for the Protein.

How long, do you think it would it take you to do a Burpee Mile?

A very long time.

He wrecks anything bodyweight related.

If you were a descendant of a dinosaur, which dinosaur would it be (looking up cool dinosaurs that really existed is highly encouraged to come up with a good answer)?

An Awesomesaurus. Not particularly big, fast, or strong but gives his best which makes him awesome. I totally made this up but it should be a thing.

On a scale of 1-10, 1 being don’t care and 10 being more shame than a Catholic, how would you feel if your coach spotted you at Taco Bell?

Minus 1. No shame in my game. I’d give my coach a high five and ask if he/she wants anything.

If you could solve one world problem, what would it be?

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck would.

If you could observe any animal in its natural habitat, what would you choose?

A bird. To able to keep up to it as it flies from one place to another without a care in the world would be fun and liberating.

If you could spend a day with one person from history, who would it be?

Honestly, it’s difficult to choose just ONE person because I could learn something new from everyone. But if I could I’d spend one more day with anyone it’d be with my grandmother. To be able to make her smile, hear her voice, and tell her I love her as I hug her tightly would mean the world to me for just one more day.

Name a food you refuse to give up no matter how clean you’re eating.

Easy, PB & J all day.

And is as strong as anyone!

After a cheat meal, what’s the first thought that crosses your mind?

It’s more of a “treat meal” and my thought is “NFG( No f***s given )”

What’s your favorite sport to play?

Dodgeball. It gets real, REAL quick.

Do you celebrate your WODiverssary? Do you know when it is and/or what your first WOD was?

No clue what my first wod was. Everyday I’m able to do a wod I celebrate it by giving it my very best whatever my best may be that day.
