Repost: Sugar? Yes, Please!


There are a lot of apps out there for CrossFit these days. From timers to WOD tracking, you can find just about everything you need to support your CrossFit addiction. We’ve done blog posts in the past about logging your results, setting goals, and tracking everything in general. But up until recently, I would say that most of the apps for tracking WOD’s left a little to be desired in one way or another.

I think the search for the best all around WOD tracking solution is officially over. SugarWOD is the best app that I’ve seen for logging results, tracking PR’s, and my favorite, interacting with your box mates on a daily basis. There is a decent number of you out there already on it, and can probably speak on its behalf. But I urge every LAX CrossFit member to get on it and start using it.

Besides all the obvious reasons for logging your workouts (tracking progress, knowing PR’s and %’s, personal accountability, etc.), SugarWOD makes it fun again. Especially cause you get to see a virtual whiteboard. If you usually come in the evenings, now you can get a look at the morning crew’s times and weights before you make your way in here to take your shot at the WOD – strategizing your dominance nice and early. If you’re a morning person, now you can see if your time held up that same night, maybe even before you go to bed.

So the competitive aspect gets kicked up a notch, but that’s not all. You can share your thoughts on how the WOD went, what was harder/easier than you expected. You can offer advice to others who haven’t gone yet, or sneak in some bad advice to insure your time does hold up. Plus you can encourage each other even when you’re not there or miss someone who used to WOD with you, but is now on a different schedule. I can’t say enough about how I think this brings some much needed FUN back to scoring your WOD times. So, go download it now and start tracking!
