If you come to evening classes or any of our recent events, then good chance you know Manny. He’s also a motorcycle cop so maybe he’s pulled you over at some point 🙂 Manny is awesome and has progressed tremendously in the year+ he’s been a member of LAX. He’s not only regularly Rx’ing workouts, but beating people half his age. Dude is killing it and having fun while doing it. It’s a pleasure to have him as part of our community, so we thought you might like to get to know him a little bit better… (PS, he’s already signed up for the CrossFit Open, are you???)

What’s your favorite cooking spice?

GARLIC!

What’s your favorite show ever?

I’ve been watching 60 minutes since I was a kid.

Rest day means what?

Rest day/off day means i can sleep in and best of all take a nap!

How long, do you think it would it take you to do a Burpee Mile?

Burpee Mile would take me all Day! I’ve hated burpees since the Police Academy, we did a lot of them.

If you were a teacher, what would you teach?

If i were a teacher I’d teach a class for young boys on how to become Men…kinda of an etiquette class for high school boys.

If you were reincarnated as a piece of equipment, what would it be and why?

F-16 Fighter Jet. Nothing like being able to soar through the sky and kick aSs!

If you could only do one workout for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Cycling, I want to do a Century this year.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop? Explain your answer.

I have no idea how many licks to the center of a tootsie pop, I’ve lost 23lbs since starting crossfit and try to stay away from candy. Sweets are my weakness.

If you were trying to impress another CrossFit member what dish would you cook/make them?

The dish I’d cook to impress a CrossFit member is,…I’ver been eating a lot of Bison lately. I’d grill a Tomahawk cut Bison steak from the Honest Bison.
