Competition Tuesdays

FacebooktwitterFacebooktwitter

For November, Tuesdays are going to be “Competition Tuesdays”. If you know anything about Pete Carroll and what he established while at USC, Tuesdays were the competitive days during game weeks. Carrying that to LAX CrossFit, we are utilizing workouts from past functional fitness competitions to give you a little competitive taste.

Your first workout is from the Legendary Competitor event called, Pirates of Teen Fitness. This particular workout was from 2 years ago, held during the Dynasty Series at NLI. As a fitness community that looks to grow and support each other, this was designed to be supportive, educational, fun, and a great way to introduce kids to The Sport of Fitness. Unfortunately, I have been unable to obtain the results from this event to see how you stack up against teenagers.

The second workout is from the NLI “Friday Night Fever – Masters only” competition from 2 years ago. This was the first workout of the day. It is capped but overall a really hard nose, gotta keep moving kind of a pace.

If you are interested in upcoming competitions to test yourself, or if you have any interest in learning how to judge for these competitions, let me know! We have had many of our own members join me at the various competitions around. And you get paid! There is one upcoming in 2 weeks in Orange County I am running. It will also be featuring a kids competition and an adaptive athlete portion, geared toward military veterans.
