We’re not going to tell you exactly what the 2015 LAX CrossFit Beach Olympics events will be, because it’s just going to be too much fun when you get there. But we are going to tell you that we’re going to kick things off at 11am sharp with a timed Obstacle Course. Each team will run through it and post their best times. That event should be fairly quick and then we are on to the 2nd event which will be a bracket based event, which will also take 20-30 minutes. After that we have 6 more events for a total of 8 Scored Events! Some will run at the same time as others, so we should get it all done with plenty of time to hang out and socialize.

In each event the scoring will be as follows:

  • 1st = 10 pts
  • 2nd = 7 pts
  • 3rd = 3 pts

After all 8 events are complete we will crown a 2015 LAX CrossFit Beach Olympics Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medalists. We can almost guarantee that this event is going to be a ton of fun, with some ridiculousness thrown into games of skill, accuracy, and even a little fitness.

We only need one thing from you. If you’re going to compete and we hope almost everyone does, please get there before 11am! We’re going to figure out the 4 person teams when everyone gets there, so don’t be late if you’re in for the Olympics!

3 Shoulder to Overhead

Score the amount of time left in each round, and round down to the nearest 10 seconds. You’ll end up with 10 scores for 10 rounds if you complete every round. Total the scores. E.g. rd 1: finished in 1:35, score is 20, rd 2: finished in 1:47, score is 10, if you finish every round as you did in round 2, then your final score would be 110 (20 + 10 * 9)!
