Beach Olympics Recap

FacebooktwitterFacebooktwitter

It’s tough to describe Saturday’s Beach Olympics Event with words. If you run into someone who was there, then ask them about it, cause it had a lot going on. So many games, so many activities, so many awesome people, and a whole lot of FUN! Here are some pics…

I unloaded at 6:30am! I don't think I've ever been to Hermosa quite that early before. It was peaceful.

I was lucky that Chris May arrived super early for some surfing fun and helped setup. I couldn't ask for a better helper. Thanks Chris!

The water was glassy and waves were fun. Right after the surfing we did a mini volleyball lesson and played some king of the court.

We kicked the Beach Olympics off with an Obstacle Course - bat spin to get nice and dizzy, wheel barrow carry, squats, and piggy back sprint around some cones for time. If you've never done a wheel barrow carry in the sand after getting nice and dizzy, I highly recommend it.

The piggy back sprint in the sand was fun for at least one person. Jose was not that person.

After the Obstacle Course, we had a good old fashioned Tug of War Single Elimination Bracket. Not a shocker that Salty and Chris May anchored an unbeatable team!

The kids got in on the tug of war action. Ben's team barely won.

The next three events were Cornhole, Frisbeer, and Beach Bocce. They all happened simultaneously, but the games of accuracy were a welcome relaxation time after the physical craziness.
