LAX will be hosting a TWINS WOD on behalf of Matt Weaver!

Some of you may know him some of you may not. He is a great friend and former member of LAX Crossfit and he, his wife Malaika and daughter Ava are expecting….you guessed it TWINS! What better way to celebrate new additions to the family than: Partners, PR’s and a fun WOD!

WHY: To celebrate the Weavers!!

So go ahead, grab a partner and let us know your team name. You can grab a guy or a girl, it’s totally up to you. We won’t hate if you try to stack your team and ask Coach SALTY or Coach K-Nasty to be your partner…we dare you! The workouts have already been created and will be posted shortly. Outfits/Themes are not mandatory but definitely favored and you can win some good stuff for trying to look good in that department!!

BUY IN is one $10 Amazon.com gift card per person..because in case you haven’t heard…babies are expensive…and twins means double trouble!

Some Team Tips

  • Stronger is not ALWAYS better
  • Women are tough too
  • If you’re new, make a friend. What better way to get to know one another than WODing together!
  • Think outfits! If you’re like me and not always the strongest or fastest at least you can look fashionable trying to be. Plus there will be a camera present. Ha!
  • All Levels are welcome: CF 101, Intermediate and Advanced

Workout of the Day 5/28/2015 – Thursday

CrossFit

Strength/Oly.
3 Position Clean 1-1-1-1-1

Increase weight every set. Receive in a full squat.

Met-Con.
AMRAP 8:
200 Double Unders (buy-in, only first round)
7 Muscle-Ups
250m Row
50 Wall Balls (20#/14#)

Rest 2 minutes, then repeat with AMRAP 6 and no double under buy-in. Scale 200 Double Unders to 300 Singles.

CrossFit 101

Skill/Oly.
Snatch Balance

Met-Con.
3 Rounds – AMRAP 3:
10 Thrusters
10 KB Swings
10 Box Jumps

Rest 1 minute between rounds. Continue where you were at the end of previous round, and score total reps.
