Happiness of pursuit

You got a dream. You gotta protect it. People can’t do something themselves, they wanna tell you you can’t do it. If you want something, go get it. Period.

Are you in the pursuit of happiness or do you enjoy the happiness of pursuit??

Sometimes we live in a world that sells you instant happiness. Sometimes we’re always looking for that instant weight loss tea or that low calorie juice smoothie. Or if its that new pair of shoes that’ll make your day because you know 2 weeks from now you’ll forget you even had them.

There are those that find ultimate happiness in achieving their weight loss goal for the sake of losing weight and there are those that enjoy the ride. My fitness journey that once started with trying to get jacked like those dudes on Mens Health slowly faded. I’ve almost reached my own goals but now that I know what it takes to get there I now look for another challenge and how to get to across that mountain.

My journey is now the path to just staying fit, healthy, living a longer life and be able to chase my kids til I’m 90 (new master’s division?).

For many of you that accomplished a marathon was crossing the finish line really all that memorable? Or did you remember more what it was hitting the wall on the 20th mile and struggling to get those last couple of miles?

Right here is one of the first videos that got me to stop sitting still and start being better. I could say that it pretty much sums up how my Crossfit journey has went so far.
